Job description
Agentplace is a platform for building AI agents that serve customers: they answer questions, book appointments, handle customer service, and deliver services online. Based in San Francisco, featured in VentureBeat, USA Today, and Fast Company.
AI agents are a new kind of interface: part chat, part website, part product. We’re looking for an Agentic UX Designer to shape how people build agents on Agentplace and how customers talk to those agents. You’ll work on both sides: the builder experience on our platform and the end-customer experience inside the agents. Freelancers and solo studios welcome: keep your own clients and work with us on a contract basis.
What you’ll do: audit and improve the Agentplace builder (onboarding, agent creation, publishing); design conversation flows: how an agent greets, asks questions, recommends, and hands off to booking or payment; design agent interfaces: chat, cards, forms, and the moments where conversation meets UI; turn user feedback and analytics into clear, testable design changes; create templates and patterns that make every agent on the platform look and feel great.
Who you are: a product or UX designer who is curious about AI and wants to design for what comes after the classic website. You might be a product or UX/UI designer working in Figma, a conversational or chatbot designer, a web designer who builds in Framer or Webflow, a designer who prototypes with AI tools like Cursor, Lovable, or v0, or a freelancer who designs websites and chatbots for clients. Bonus if you’ve designed for chat interfaces, voice assistants, or AI products.
Details: remote, contract, flexible hours. Compensation from $2,500/month.
How to apply: complete a short test task. There’s no time limit. We care about the result, not how long it took. 1) Sign up at and explore the platform. 2) Suggest 3-5 UI improvements. For each one: what’s wrong, how you’d fix it, and why it’s better. Send your improvements as screenshots, a short Figma file, or a Loom video to .
Applications are reviewed by email only. Applications without your UI suggestions will not be considered. We review applications quickly and will reach out to successful candidates with an offer. The best ideas may make it into the product.
